I believe that Dianne Leclair is the clear choice for President and know that she is our succession plan for the Ontario Nurses' Association's members.
Dianne has been a Board Member herself for the past 11 years and in my three years on the Board of Directors I have come to respect her integrity , honesty, work ethic and her drive to always keep the members at the forefront.
Dianne works very closely with our leaders and frontline members and has had the opportunity to meet a lot of them when she held the portfolio of Finance and the leaders have come to respect her and count on her to be honest and forth-right .
She has a passion for being politically involved with her Region and most certainly respects the diversity of our membership . She has attended many rallies and demonstrations bringing ONA"s message forward .
Being an experienced hospital nurse and more recently a CCAC care coordinator and RN who still works on a regular basis keeps her in touch with not only the hospital sector but Nursing Home Sector and keeps her aware of what is occurring at the frontlines .
Dianne brings a fresh face as President and a totally different style to ONA which I most certainly am looking forward to --she has been a mentor to me and very patient as the newest Board member at ONA . She has the knowledge , experience and high energy we need to lead our Great Union and I know she can engage our leaders at a time when they need this boost .
I believe Dianne is the best choice, right now, the time is right and I hope that you agree and follow me in voting for Dianne.
Pam Mancuso, Region 1 Vice President

Both candidates running for President have excellent skill sets and have given so much to us as ONA members. Dianne has provided great ONA leadership to me as a Local Coordinator. She listens, problem solves and works tirelessly to provide support to myself as LC and to my Executive. When Dianne comes to our Executive meeting, it's not as a guest, rather she fits right in as our valued VP who understands our issues and needs and she is very responsive to both. Dianne provides great leadership and role models the values important to ONA.
Thanks Dianne for this opportunity to provide support to you in your campaign.
Muriel Vandepol R.N, Local 15 Local Coordinator
Dianne has been a great mentor to me since 2012 when I joined ONA and became an LC/BUP. Under her leadership and guidance, I was able to set up a new local and bargaining unit without issue. She helped mold our executive and taught us how to create budgets and policies. She has helped us navigate through conflict and bond as an executive committee.
I owe a lot of my success to Dianne. With her leadership skills and knowledge of several roles at the local and provincial level, she has given me the building blocks I needed to be successful in my new role.
I know that Dianne will continue to build on the foundation that has been laid and elevate ONA. Diane will bring a new vision and change to our Union and she will strengthen us as a whole.
Kerry Bell, Bargaining Unit President, Halton Healthcare, Local Coordinator, Local 238
I have given much thought to the future of ONA and who's leadership will best prepare us for the struggles we face today and the battles we will face in the future. I am passionate and without reservation in my endorsement of Dianne Leclair for President. She embodies both the change that is needed to revitalize and energize our membership in our union and strong and steady handed to take on the government and employers we face today. 60,000 members should be able to say with conviction they are proud ONA members of our Professional Union. That is our future with Dianne at the head. She has the experience, the skill and the know-how that we can all rely on.

I think that The Ontario Nurses' Association has reached a moment where change is required. We need to start to make each member proud to be in the best union for Nurses and Healthcare workers After looking at both candidates fro President I have no doubt that Dianne is the best candidate. Her ability to galvanize a team to a common purpose, her knowledge of Labour relations and the working conditions for the nurses and allied healthcare workers at Princess Margaret is what our union needs. Dianne is the future and change is needed now.
